About the position
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for various functions within the warehouse, including picking, scanning, and shipping. This role involves handling and processing orders efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines and maintaining a clean working environment. Associates are trained in multiple areas of the warehouse and work as directed by their supervisor to meet operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Select stock according to store order (picking and packing instructions).
- Accurately record quantities selected (or shorted) maintaining the company standard error rate.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to prevent incidents or injury.
- Perform assigned tasks to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform general physical activities in the warehouse, including loading, unloading, sorting, and moving products and materials manually and using material handling equipment.
- Read work orders and receive verbal instructions for work assignments.
- Fill and complete order receipts.
- Transport filled orders to and from the shipping area.
- Stock shelves and keep stock clean and in sequence.
- Perform general cleaning duties.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Warehouse experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background investigation.
