About the position

Warehouse associates are an essential part of The Home Depot's distribution network. They play a crucial role in ensuring that products are efficiently loaded and unloaded from trucks, as well as moving materials within the facility. This involves carrying, pushing, rolling, or operating various types of material handling equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, and motorized conveyors. Safety is a top priority, and warehouse associates are trained to operate forklifts and other machinery safely to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging, and transporting products. The positions available include General Warehouse Associate and General Warehouse Associate II, each requiring a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment while meeting productivity goals.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
• Move materials within the facility using various equipment.
• Operate forklifts and other machinery to complete tasks.
• Sort, stage, and transport products as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members.
