About the position

The Warehouse Associate position at Georgia Underground & Supply Inc involves managing various warehouse operations, ensuring the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Verify all incoming shipments for accuracy by comparing the invoice to the order and ensure all goods are in excellent condition.
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out and processed properly.
• Accurately process incoming and outgoing orders within designated systems.
• Provide customer service related to warehousing operations.
• Organize stock and merchandise within the warehouse.
• Ensure safety protocols and procedures are followed and maintain safe storage in all racking.
• Monitor and report any missing or lost inventory to management.
• Properly pull, stage, pack, and load outgoing deliveries and transfers, ensuring product is not damaged in the process.
• Organize and sort items on shelving, bins, and overhangs according to company standards.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse and workplace.
• Assist in physical inventories and cycle counting as directed.

Requirements

• Warehouse experience is a MUST.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse.
• Experience using a forklift is required; professional forklift certification is preferred.
• Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance.
• Ability to work a somewhat variable shift based on workload each day.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures based on weather changes.
• Basic knowledge of simple math concepts.
• Maintains a 'Whatever it Takes' attitude.
