The Warehouse Associate role at Avalon Flooring is essential for the efficient receiving, storing, and distribution of materials and products, contributing to an exceptional customer experience. Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders
• Receive and consolidate inbound material
• Safely complete outbound warehouse tasks, including unloading, loading, sorting, labeling, and packing
• Check picking labels for accuracy and inspect items for defects or damages
• Ensure products are packed and shipped correctly to exceed customers' expectations
• Drive an electric forklift and reach truck
• Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy standards
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse
• Follow all safety rules
• Act professionally and remain focused
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership team

Requirements

• Ability to work 40 hours per week - Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to read and speak English
• Ability to follow detailed instructions
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and machinery
• Meet requirements for safety, quality, productivity, behavior, and attendance
• Comfortable using inventory computer software
• Basic math skills, ability to count, add, and subtract numbers quickly and accurately
• Ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label, and SKU information
• Ability to work independently without close supervision
• Ability to receive feedback and work well in a team environment
• 2 years of warehouse experience
• 1 year of customer service experience
• Valid driver's license
