About the position

The Warehouse Associate position involves various physical inventory movements and organization of the warehouse. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This is a temporary, day shift opportunity with flexible hours ranging from part-time to full-time.

Responsibilities

• Take wood crating off pallets, unload material on the pallets, and accurately put material away in the documented locations
• Fully read and understand the work order documents to pick, pull, pack items
• Find inventory based on the warehouse location and gather supplies needed to fulfill the order
• Use hand tools and equipment necessary to complete the work order
• Maintain timing of orders to ensure the jobs are completed by the due date
• Quality check the material being handled based on work order documents
• Move, handle, and store materials by use of warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, wrapping machines, strapping equipment, bailers, etc.
• Work as a productive member of the warehouse team
• Ensure safe use of equipment, tools, and work in an ergonomic manner
• General cleaning and tidiness of all aspects of the warehouse
• Follow all procedures and abide by the employee handbook
• Assist with general warehouse activities, as needed

Requirements

• Ability to lift and co-lift material
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

• Understanding of inventory control
• General hand tool skills
• Basic math skills for inventory counts and master case packing
• Ability to be trained, coordinate, and communicate effectively
• Practice standard safety requirements
