The Inventory Control and Warehouse Operations position is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and safety of the warehouse environment. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring accurate inventory management and smooth warehouse operations. The individual in this position will be responsible for the receipt of goods, documentation of any discrepancies in orders, and maintaining inventory accuracy through regular cycle counting and annual verification. The role also emphasizes the importance of proper signing out of parts from the warehouse to minimize errors and enhance accountability. In terms of warehouse operations, the position requires the individual to keep aisles clear of clutter and debris, ensuring a safe environment for all personnel. The employee will be tasked with labeling parts clearly and ensuring they are stored on assigned shelves. Assisting colleagues in retrieving materials from the warehouse is also a key responsibility, along with maintaining adequate staffing levels during production hours to ensure operational efficiency. Essential duties include conducting physical inventory checks and cycle counting at least quarterly, picking up and delivering parts as needed, and assisting other employees with warehouse functions. The individual will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse, including floors and shelves, and setting up minimum and maximum reorder levels for all parts. Receiving parts into the warehouse using the Infor system and ensuring FIFO (First In First Out) methods are adhered to are critical tasks. The employee will also monitor stock levels in the MRO vending machine and alert the purchasing agent when restocking is necessary. Additionally, issuing parts to work orders and promptly notifying the purchasing agent of any issues are part of the role's responsibilities.
