About the position

The Warehouse Automation System Operator at Pepsi Bottling Ventures is responsible for controlling, interfacing, and managing warehouse automation systems to ensure peak operational levels. This role supports continuous material movement through automated warehouse systems, catering to both internal and external customers. The operator will troubleshoot system faults, maintain accurate records, and ensure a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Complete machine/system interface and operation.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and correct machine/system faults at the 'System Operator' level.
  • Resolve data/transactional errors related to automation systems, software, or programs.
  • Maintain operator logs and records as required.
  • Direct people/work areas to maximize system efficiency and facilitate issue resolution.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to pass forklift skills assessment and safely operate PBV Material Handling equipment.
  • Six months of 'sit down' forklift operation experience preferred.
  • One year of automation/production machine operation experience outside of PBV warehouse automation or three months of proven in-house operation (not including training).
  • Computer/human machine interface skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Math, reading, and writing skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in warehouse automation systems.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the beverage industry.
