About the position

As a Warehouse Associate at Staples, you will play a crucial role in the supply chain by operating material handling equipment and performing various tasks within the warehouse. This position involves working in different areas such as bulk handling, replenishment, receiving, returns, and shipping, ensuring safety and efficiency in all operations. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean work environment and adhering to safety procedures while meeting productivity goals.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move products within the warehouse.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties inside and outside the facility.
• Confirm accuracy of products during receiving and returns, addressing discrepancies and damages as needed.
• Manually unload trucks and palletize products, ensuring proper handling and organization.
• Organize, stack, and shrink-wrap customer orders on pallets for shipping.

Requirements

• Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent training/education.
• Ability to pass a drug screen legally permissible.
• Basic English language skills for effective communication.
• Ability to work additional hours beyond the scheduled shift as needed.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 to 100 pounds by hand.
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice-to-haves

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Prior experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers.
