About the position

The Warehouse Associate position at Staples involves operating material handling equipment and performing various tasks within the warehouse to ensure efficient product delivery. Associates may work in different areas such as bulk handling, receiving, replenishment, and shipping, while adhering to safety protocols. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall success of the Staples Supply Chain team.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move products within the warehouse.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties inside and outside the facility.
• Confirm accuracy of products during receiving and returns, addressing discrepancies and damages as needed.
• Manually unload trucks and palletize products, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed.
• Organize, stack, and shrink-wrap customer orders on pallets, loading trucks manually as required.

Requirements

• Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent training/education.
• Ability to pass a drug screen legally permissible.
• Basic English language skills for verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 to 100 pounds by hand.
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed.

Nice-to-haves

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Prior experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers.
