About the position
Aerotek Aviation is seeking Warehouse Cargo Handlers to manage express freight and packages at SEA Airport. The role involves loading and unloading cargo, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Candidates must be flexible with their schedules, particularly for swing or night shifts, and be open to working weekends.
Responsibilities
- Unload and load packages onto cargo containers from trucks.
- Break down and remove packages from the carts and load them into cargo containers for airline transportation.
- Assemble items 'Tetris style' to maximize package occupancy in cargo container.
- Put small boxes and mail into larger bags and load them onto the cargo container.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using scanning and tracking systems.
- Follow safety protocols and conduct quality control checks.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively.
Requirements
- 1+ years warehouse experience highly preferred, including using hand scanners and packaging materials.
- Ramp experience highly preferred (any ramp - baggage handling, cargo, etc.).
- Must be eligible for SIDA badge with 2 valid forms of IDs.
- Must have steel toe shoes/boots.
- Must have an open schedule to work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
