About the position

The Checker is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all customer orders leaving the warehouse by inspecting and verifying completed orders, documenting discrepancies, and ensuring corrections are made prior to loading for delivery. This role also involves reviewing and inspecting the accuracy of returning route delivery trucks and documenting any discrepancies before finalizing the check-in process.

Responsibilities

• Verifies the accuracy of customer orders by inspecting built pallets and reviewing pick tickets.
• Inspects returning route delivery trucks to determine their condition for the check-in process.
• Documents discrepancies, changes, additions, or subtractions required to customer orders on the proper reports.
• Accounts for all returned products and deposit items on the route delivery trucks, ensuring correct classification.
• Communicates with warehouse teammates to correct mistakes discovered during inspections.
• Communicates with route delivery drivers about issues and makes necessary changes before finalizing check-in.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of the work area and performs other tasks as requested by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience.
• PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Pallet Jack Certification.
