About the position

As a Warehouse Clerk at Piggly Wiggly, you will play a crucial role in supporting our transportation team and ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center. Your primary responsibilities will include administrative tasks related to distribution reporting, shipping and receiving documentation, and fulfillment processes. This position is part-time, specifically for the 2nd shift, which runs from 1 PM to 11 PM, allowing you to work up to 30 hours a week. The pay starts at $17.50 per hour, reflecting our commitment to providing competitive compensation for our employees. In this role, you will be responsible for releasing routes, printing selection labels, and organizing them by departure and commodity type. You will also handle store phone calls and orders, assisting with ad-ons, memos, and other inquiries. Data entry will be a significant part of your daily tasks, as you monitor system information and notify supervisors of any necessary adjustments. Customer service is a key component of this position, as you will prepare store mail for delivery and assist with various inquiries from store personnel. Additionally, you will audit inbound receiving, print labels, reconcile discrepancies, and close out purchase orders. Your ability to assist with special projects as needed will also be valuable in this dynamic work environment. We are looking for candidates who can work the overnight shift and are willing to take on overtime when required. Your contributions will help us keep our communities fed, as we strive to support local families and neighbors through our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Release routes, print selection labels, and organize by departure and commodity type.
  • Take store phone calls/orders and assist them with ad-ons, memos, and outs.
  • Perform data entry and monitor system information, notifying supervisors of needed adjustments.
  • Provide customer service and prepare store mail for delivery.
  • Pick up selector scratches and buyer chases, create invoices, and attach orders to routes.
  • Audit inbound receiving, print labels, reconcile overages, shorts, and damages, and close out purchase orders.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • At least six months of warehouse experience.
  • Pallet Jack experience preferred.
  • Ability to work the overnight shift and overtime is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in grocery selection.
