About the position
The Warehouse Clerk position at Fox Valley Fire & Safety is a full-time role focused on supporting technicians in the installation and maintenance of fire protection equipment. The role involves managing inventory, operating forklifts, and ensuring efficient logistics to maintain a seamless flow of materials for service delivery. The ideal candidate will be proactive, customer-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Support technicians by pulling stock daily for their essential work.
- Match received inventory with packing slips and track discrepancies.
- Return unused stock to inventory to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Operate a forklift to manage warehouse logistics.
- Move trucks from the yard to the garage for fleet maintenance.
- Assist with receiving and unloading UPS Worldship and truck shipments, and prepare packages for delivery.
- Utilize ProfitZoom, WMS/Inventory Management System, and MS Office to streamline processes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.
- Forklift operation skills are necessary.
- Experience with pick & pack processes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with UPS Worldship is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform regular walking, standing, and movement throughout the workday.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment (1-3 years).
- Experience with UPS Worldship (1-3 years).
- Experience with pick & pack processes (1-3 years).
