About the position
Eaton's ES AMER MFGSC division is currently seeking a Warehouse Clerk. The hourly rate for this position is 22.00 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Responsibilities
- Supports shipping and receiving department including but not limited to; picking, packing, putaway, processes/procedures (Safety and Operation), data collection and reporting, data storage, and receiving / shipment / delivery of product and material, including mail.
- Provide shipping/receiving coverage and support during core business hours (typically 6:00 am - 2:30 pm) and overtime hours as necessary on short notice.
- Operate Dallas Eaton Fork trucks after completing training, evaluation and issuance of Operator license.
- Professionally communicate with immediate team, other Eaton employees and vendors.
- Familiar with freight standards for both domestic and foreign shipment and receipt.
- Work closely with Logistics Lead to keep up to date with all Eaton governing shipments.
- Work with EHS department to assure any shipping/receiving requirements related to worldwide Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) are followed.
- Exhibit teamwork and maintain a positive and team-based attitude.
- Support peers in times of high demand by working hours assigned and overtime as required.
- Use appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material/products.
- Cross-train and flex or stand in for other employees/job functions when necessary.
- Provide temporary supervision as required if Supervisor or Lead is away.
- Perform inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Responsible for all documentation related to incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Accurate and timely entry of required information into the appropriate electronic tracking, shipping and storage systems.
- Participate in OJT and safety team.
- Assist and participate in continuous improvement activities or events.
- Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures.
- Supply support to department Leads and Supervisors with day to day activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 Months experience with Forklift/ Cherry picker /Reach Truck.
- Microsoft Excel experience in running reports and collecting productivity data.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Nice-to-haves
- One year of experience in a warehouse/distribution center environment.
- Must be able to work specific shift hours and have flexibility to work overtime based on customer demand.
- ERP Experience (SAP).
