About the position

The Warehouse Coordinator at Option Care Health is responsible for managing the daily flow of clinical supplies between the pharmacy and nursing departments. This role ensures timely and accurate deliveries of supplies and medications to patients, while also overseeing inventory sourcing, purchasing, and compliance with legal standards and company policies. The position plays a crucial role in supporting clinical operations and maintaining high standards of care for patients with acute and chronic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient contact to ascertain supply needs as designated by the clinician and establish relationships with clients.
• Communicate information to appropriate personnel and document accordingly.
• Generate patient orders in the system and coordinate shipping schedules.
• Communicate with Nurse and Pharmacist to ensure availability of patient supplies and confirm deliveries.
• Purchase all supplies for inventory, following correct purchasing procedures and sourcing cost-effective products.
• Maintain accurate inventory and participate in physical inventory checks.
• Implement inventory control measures and monitor equipment tracking and maintenance.
• Observe legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding patient and proprietary information.
• Participate in assessing, managing, and reporting medication-related incidents and equipment errors.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities if required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience communicating verbally and in writing to various audiences.
• Basic PC skills including starting and shutting down a computer, using a mouse, and accessing information online.
• Basic email skills and familiarity with internet browsing.

• Prior experience working in a warehouse or delivery setting.
