About the position
The Procurement and Warehouse Specialist works within a service organization reporting to the business Supply Chain Manager or the designated Operating Company leadership team member. This role is responsible for executing transactional policies related to the replenishment of warehouse and/or Service Vehicle inventory, which is based on usage analysis within the operating market. The specialist will support the Purchasing team in administering procurement tasks with the established direct material supply base, obtaining required products for the lowest total cost and ensuring timely delivery to accommodate customer needs. Additionally, the position requires strict alignment of inventory chain of custody, procedural transactions, and performance of inventory validation policies within the business.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized warehouse of stock inventory as well as surplus project material.
- Administer the excess vehicle returns process.
- Work with Technicians to ensure timely and accurate return of required components to suppliers for credit.
- Conduct reviews and audits of warehouse and vehicle inventories to ensure appropriate identification and storage of inventory.
- Participate in projects related to inventory and purchase cost improvements.
- Independently carry out replenishment activities considering the impact on customer and business stakeholder expectations.
- Support purchasing management in transactional procurement of products from established sources at contract prices.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to benefit both parties.
- Promote engagement and participation in overall materials management accountability.
Requirements
- B.S in applicable field, or a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Greater than three (3) years of relevant work experience (required) including team leadership experience (preferred).
