Responsibilities

  • Move material within the distribution center and from the loading platform using hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, or other material handling equipment.
  • Receive incoming inventory & supply items, log into the company warehouse system, and stock inventory in the proper location.
  • Read work orders, shipping orders, or follow verbal instructions.
  • Fill customer invoices, check part numbers, clean and pack inventory items.
  • Inspect inventory for defects, scratches, or other damage and notify Warehouse Manager of problems.
  • Follow all company safety and accident procedures while on company premises or operating company vehicles or equipment.
  • Track all inventory in the appropriate system.
  • Organize and clean warehouse space and company equipment as needed.
  • Report any customer problems or concerns immediately.
  • Coach fellow associates on warehouse operational practices and procedures, equipment operation, and safety procedures when needed.
  • Enforce policies and procedures to ensure efficient, effective, and safe warehouse operations.
  • Evaluate current processes and procedures and recommend changes to warehouse management.
  • Contribute ideas on ways to reduce warehouse cost per unit and increase productivity.
  • Maintain working knowledge of warehouse data system and perform various tasks within the system.
  • Deliver supplies and equipment in a timely fashion while observing all Regulated DOT and OSHA standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of warehouse experience.
  • Forklift operating experience (Forklift Certification a plus).
  • Able to operate personal computers and software programs, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to frequently walk or stand long hours and lift/move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift to 50 pounds.
