About the position

The Warehouse/Counter Sales position at Express Employment Professionals involves a combination of warehouse duties and customer service responsibilities. The role requires manual labor, including shipping, receiving, stocking, and operating forklifts, as well as engaging with customers at the counter, processing orders, and managing communications through the company’s computer system.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously by name (if known)
• Provide accurate and timely execution of customer's orders, requests and other services
• Pull orders for customers
• Load and unload company, customer and outside carrier vehicles using proper equipment
• Prepare product for shipment via UPS, FedEx and common carrier
• Receive shipments from UPS, FedEx and common carrier
• Break down and put away stock using proper equipment
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Requirements

• Previous experience in sales or customer service is preferred
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus
• Knowledge of retail math for handling cash transactions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
