About the position

The Data Entry Associate position at Nabors is a vital role that supports our Manufacturing Warehouse operations. This position is responsible for entering and maintaining critical documents related to shipping, receiving, inventory control, cycle counting, and material returns. The successful candidate will input information and make transactions into the company's database/computer system, facilitating the documentation and information retrieval process for warehouse transactions. This role requires precision and speed in data entry, ensuring that all information is accurately recorded and easily retrievable. The Data Entry Associate will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse operations. In this role, the individual will be tasked with creating warehouse receipts for incoming shipments promptly, reconciling expected shipments and receipts against warehouse shipping/receiving documents, and updating the Inventory System daily. Maintaining inventory integrity is crucial, as the associate will be responsible for accurate transactions of inventory movements. Meeting deadlines for processing shipment transactions and documents is essential, as is entering and processing corrections or adjustments in the database related to inventory, shipments, receipts, and material issues. The associate will also assist in physical inventory reconciliation to address inconsistencies between paperwork and physical quantities documented. The position requires strong organizational skills to maintain organized files and records for easy retrieval, as well as collaboration with team members to streamline data entry processes. Adherence to safety processes and procedures is mandatory, and the associate may be assigned additional related duties as needed. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Input and update data into databases and systems with precision and speed.
  • Create warehouse receipt for all incoming shipments in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile expected shipments and receipts versus warehouse shipping/receiving documents.
  • Update the Inventory System daily with added/removed items, manage all transactions and make sure the system is accurate at all times.
  • Maintain inventory integrity on a per warehouse receipt transaction - accurate transactions of inventory movements.
  • Meet required deadlines for processing shipment transactions and documents.
  • Enter and process corrections or adjustments in the database related to inventory, shipments, receipts and material issue.
  • Ensure all information pertaining to a specific shipment is system entered.
  • Assist in the physical inventory reconciliation for receipts/shipments in order to reconcile inconsistencies in paperwork versus physical quantities documented.
  • Maintain organized files and records for easy retrieval.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to data entry and file management.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data entered into the system.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline data entry processes.
  • Follow all safety processes and procedures.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to type 30 wpm accurately with minimal errors.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry tasks.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to spot and correct errors with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Must be able to process alpha/numeric information.
  • Ability to communicate in English (read & write) in a business environment.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, multi-task, prioritize and have strong initiative to meet team requirements.
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours (OT). OT expectations are 10% or less.

Nice-to-haves

  • Zero (0) to One (1) year of data entry clerk experience
  • Industry related experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in computer skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
