Ryder is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator/Cargo Handler/Dock Worker for a permanent full-time position in Miramar, FL. The role involves managing inbound products and operating various warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities

• Performs material moves with associated transactions as required by the customer
• Works at a continuous fast pace
• Loads and unloads inbound/outbound trailers, ensuring all scanning is completed correctly
• Helps train dock employees on new procedures
• Ensures facility is secure at end of shift and investigates/resolves scanning issues and housekeeping
• Completes assignments safely within the allotted time
• Participates in work group and other team activities for self-improvement and improving warehouse operations
• Picks product to fill customer orders
• Packs, crates, and prepares orders to load on truck/trailer
• Operates cardboard baler machine
• Operates forklift and manual pallet jack
• Conducts pre-trip inspection on forklift daily
• Completes required training as scheduled

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more related shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred
• Forklift certification
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Capacity to transact system information in a productive manner
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Possesses flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
• Must have a valid Driver's License and the ability to meet Ryder's driving qualifications
