About the position
The Warehouse Employee position at Daimler Truck North America involves performing physically demanding tasks in a warehouse environment, including operating machinery and ensuring the safe and efficient handling of materials. Responsibilities
- Perform physically demanding warehouse duties including repetitive processes and moderate to heavy lifting.
- Use machinery and follow standardized work procedures.
- Pick, prepare, and package required quantities of material for shipment.
- Operate Voice Directed Picking Equipment and power vehicles such as forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers.
- Safely operate and work in the vicinity of various types of equipment without risk to self or others.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Maintain a clean work area and meet quality standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement measures and cross-train on other jobs as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or order pickers.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand manipulation and support tools.
- Capability to stand on concrete for entire shifts and lift up to 75 pounds.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment, particularly in automotive or trucking.
- Further college education beyond high school diploma.
