About the position

The Warehouse Forklift Operator at Siegwerk is responsible for operating forklifts to unload incoming materials and supply production operations with raw materials. This role involves transporting finished products to storage or shipment areas, ensuring timely loading onto trucks to meet customer delivery standards. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and efficient inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Operates forklifts and VNA's in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Follows work instructions using RF scanners and computer interface.
  • Reads production schedules and customer orders to determine items to be moved or distributed.
  • Fills requisitions to supply production operations with materials.
  • Organizes, stores, and retrieves inventory safely using RF scanners.
  • Conveys materials between production staging areas and warehouse.
  • Re-weighs and labels all material coming back to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Sorts and places materials on racks according to predetermined sequence.
  • Removes or reworks damaged products before storage.
  • Inspects finished goods for quality defects during scanning.
  • Transfers finished goods to staging or storage areas.
  • Prints and scans Bill of Lading for finished goods using computer interface.
  • Loads finished goods onto trucks in a timely manner.
  • Completes all written logs and data input for shipments.
  • Participates in inventory management and reports discrepancies.
  • Communicates effectively with all internal departments.
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs general housekeeping duties.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED or a minimum of one to three months related experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of forklift experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating procedures.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Basic computer knowledge, preferably Microsoft Suite.

Nice-to-haves
