About the position

The Warehouse Forklift position at Spherion involves operating forklifts to manage inventory and support warehouse operations. This role is essential for maintaining order and efficiency in the warehouse, assisting with receiving shipments, and preparing orders for shipment. The position offers a full-time, long-term opportunity with the potential for temp-to-hire after 90 days, depending on performance and meeting hiring criteria.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
• Organize and store products in designated warehouse locations to maintain order and efficiency.
• Assist in receiving shipments, verifying contents, and ensuring all inventory is recorded accurately.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Prepare orders for shipment by gathering and staging products as required.
• Support the team by lifting, carrying, and placing materials in designated areas.
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, especially when operating heavy equipment.
• Help maintain a clean, organized warehouse, disposing of packaging materials and cleaning spills as needed.
• Adapt to extended hours during peak winter season (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM).

Requirements

• 1-4 years of forklift experience
• Forklift certification
• High school education
