The role requires operating various warehouse equipment and maintaining safety standards while performing essential functions such as repacking, sorting, and assisting in shipping and receiving operations.
Responsibilities
- Repacking frozen products
- Sorting and organizing received frozen products
- Labeling frozen products and returning them to storage
- Maintaining frozen product inventory
- Assisting in shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
- Reading customer orders and work orders to determine items to be moved or shipped
- Moving materials from receiving or storage areas to designated areas
- Sorting and placing materials on racks or shelves according to predetermined sequences
- Filing requisitions and distributing items to shipping or designated routes
- Ensuring warehouse accessibility and safety for salespeople and customers
- Assembling customer orders from stock and relocating orders to shipping department
- Marking materials with identifying information
- Updating product amounts received or distributed via computer or handheld device
- Assisting in counting physical inventory
- Unloading/loading shipments and placing them in assigned locations
- Informing supervisor of discrepancies in quantity or damaged products
- Correctly labeling products for visibility
- Conducting pre-shift checks of equipment
- Performing facilities maintenance duties as needed
- Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness
- Wearing proper safety equipment and adhering to safety protocols
- Assisting with will-call orders
- Shuttling products from staging area to assigned locations
- Complying with cell phone usage rules during working hours
Requirements
- Forklift Certification
- Forklift Pallet Jack Certification
- 1 year of warehouse experience
- Experience with RF scanner
- 1 year of experience in a distribution center
- Entry-level position
- Experience with electric pallet jack
