About the position

The Warehouse & Fulfillment Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse and fulfillment center, focusing on productivity and process improvement. This role requires hands-on involvement and expertise to ensure efficient operations while leading and developing the team. The position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and plays a crucial role in enhancing warehouse processes and team performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain key performance metrics for all roles under your supervision to assess team performance and implement solutions/improvements when necessary.
• Communicate and model job responsibilities, performance expectations and the values of the company.
• Lead the training of new employees and the ongoing development of the team.
• Present recommendations to the management team on various opportunities to improve warehouse operations and increase quality of service, efficiency of department, staff, and equipment performance.
• Ensure that inbound shipments, outbound orders and everything in between runs as efficiently as possible.

Requirements

• Excellent internal and external communication abilities (verbal and written) and relationship building skills.
• An infectious, positive attitude and a solid work ethic, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly shifting priorities.
• Previous experience working with a medium to large group of warehouse and fulfillment employees.
• Capability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds when necessary; sit or stand for periods in office as well as warehouse environment (concrete flooring and changing temperatures).
• An understanding of pick/pack/ship, as well as internal / external inventory control processes.
• A working knowledge of systems, preferably Microsoft Office, Google Docs and Netsuite.
