About The Position

The Warehouse General Worker I position at AIT Worldwide Logistics involves performing a variety of manual labor tasks primarily focused on loading and unloading merchandise. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of goods within the warehouse and ensuring that products are handled safely and efficiently. The position requires physical strength and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, contributing to the overall success of the logistics operations.

Requirements

  • High School GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Reading and writing proficiency in English, knowledge of airport codes and basic geography.
  • Basic typing and data entry skills.
  • Participation in safety policies, activities, and implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads cartons/boxes of merchandise, materials, and products onto or off of trailers/trucks, requiring the ability to lift cartons overhead.
  • Spends the majority of working hours lifting up to 50 lbs. on a continuous basis.
  • Determines where cartons need to be sorted and placed, stacking cartons/boxes onto pallets.
  • Maintains and verifies documentation to facilitate the flow of merchandise onto trailers/trucks.
  • Follows all health and safety regulations of AIT.
  • Identifies and removes defective products.
  • Puts freight away in designated areas.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on business demands.
