About the position

As a Warehouse Hose Technician at Midwest Hose and Specialty Inc., you will be responsible for performing the complete hose assembly process in our state-of-the-art facility located in Charlotte, NC. This role is crucial in ensuring that our sales goals are met while providing excellent customer service. You will work with customers and clients who require fast turnaround times, making your ability to work efficiently and professionally essential. Equipped with the latest tools and technology, you will be tasked with assembling hoses, maintaining inventory control, and ensuring that all products meet our quality standards. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing for assembly by studying instructions and gathering necessary parts and materials. You will select and utilize the appropriate tools for each task, such as saws, crimpers, tape measures, and calipers. As you assemble components, you will examine connections for correct fit and fasten parts and sub-assemblies. Documenting your actions through production and quality forms is also a key part of your role. Additionally, you will be responsible for coiling hoses for delivery, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, and upholding professionalism in the workplace. This position may also require you to perform other assigned proprietary duties as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the complete hose assembly process.
  • Prepare work by studying assembly instructions and gathering parts, sub-assemblies, and materials.
  • Select and use proper tools and equipment for each task, such as saws, crimpers, tape measures, and calipers.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Coil hose as required to prepare for delivery to customers.
  • Provide inventory control on proprietary products and components.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Maintain professionalism in the workplace.
  • Perform any other assigned proprietary duties.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED (required).
  • Prior warehouse experience (required).
  • Good reading and writing skills.
  • Compassionate and patient customer service skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Commitment to work additional hours as needed to complete orders received daily.
  • Energetic, outgoing, and positive attitude.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Reliable and dependable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Forklift experience (preferred but not required).
