About the position

The Pallet Sorter is responsible for heavy lifting and sorting pallets to grade while ensuring cleanliness and safety in the working environment. The role requires achieving production targets and maintaining a clean workspace, with all employment contingent on passing a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Hand stacking pallets to appropriate heights, following inventory control instructions
• Loading and unloading materials from trailers by hand
• Moving pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
• Checking loads to make sure they are secure
• Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards
• Utilizing yard management systems to coordinate trailer moves
• Completing all production paperwork with accuracy
• Communicating directly with Shift Lead or On-Site Manager
• Maintaining Relogistics efficiency and performance standards of production
• Ensuring a clean & safe working environment that meets Relogistics standards
• Being accountable for achieving Relogistics results while maintaining Core Values and Safety Standards

Requirements

• Good math, language and reading skills with attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others and promote a safe work environment
• Ability to follow instructions for keeping records
• Understanding that overtime may be required and is considered mandatory
• Previous experience with lumber, welding, construction, carpentry, roofing, landscaping is strongly preferred
