About the position

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for coaching and leading warehouse associates, ensuring that both their own tasks and those of their teammates are completed efficiently. This role includes various responsibilities such as shipping/receiving, inventory control, and material handling. The Lead also provides backup to the supervisor and is involved in training new associates and forklift drivers, ensuring safety and compliance with operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as a coach and leader for warehouse associates.
• Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers.
• Conduct Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and annual recertification training.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products or materials.
• Complete applicable paperwork per standard operating procedures.
• Participate in inventory/cycle count activities and report variances.
• Perform daily safety inspections on forklift trucks.
• Ensure facility is inspection ready for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
• Communicate and report any incidents to the supervisor.
• Review and analyze daily production reports.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years prior warehouse/distribution operations experience.
• 6 months experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a distribution environment.
• Must be a licensed forklift operator or able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.
