About the position

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse team at Thistle Health Inc. This role involves leading personnel in receiving, storing, and rotating materials and products related to food production, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. The position is full-time and requires on-site presence in Burlington, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Assist leadership with the development, implementation, and maintenance of warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Support and monitor all shipping, receiving, and storage activities performed by the warehouse team.
  • Ensure staff comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Help ensure the delivery of materials to production and kitchen lines according to production schedules.
  • Collaborate with Production, Logistics, and inbound warehouse shipping teams for outbound shipments.
  • Resolve issues or problems that may occur and elevate to leadership if necessary.
  • Ensure the team adheres to all sanitation/safety regulations in food acceptance, storage, and distribution.
  • Support internal QA Audits with QA Team weekly and assist in preventative measures to reduce infractions.
  • Maintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly, safe, and secure condition.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years experience in a similar warehouse role; experience in food manufacturing highly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated working proficiency in leading and motivating a team.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and GMP compliance standards.
  • Flexibility and availability to work overtime, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Able to drive forklift, scissor lift, and electric pallet jack.
  • Computer savvy; able to use Excel, Word, Google Docs, Data Studio, Galley.
  • Proficiency with basic math skills and data entry.
  • Forklift certified (preferred) or ability to become forklift certified.
  • Valid NJ Food Handlers Certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
