About the position

The Lead Technician at Iron Mountain plays a crucial role in managing technology within the warehouse, focusing on testing, disassembling, and troubleshooting computers and electronics. This position not only involves hands-on technical work but also includes leadership responsibilities, ensuring quality control and readiness of products for the next steps in the process.

Responsibilities

• Testing, updating, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing high volumes of hardware.
• Removing/adding RAM.
• Taking stock and inventory of hardware and parts.
• Navigating the BIOS on all laptop and desktop computers.
• Inventory control and quality control.
• Processing to appropriate storage location.
• Providing documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of computer components.
• Professional experience troubleshooting and repairing computers is a PLUS, but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment to meet requirements for production and quality.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to stay organized and desire to solve problems efficiently.
• Knowledge of electronic parts understanding and sourcing.
• Knowledge of All-In-One computers would be helpful.
• Ability to lift up to 30-50 lbs.
