About the position
The Warehouse Lead at Chesterman Co. Coca-Cola is responsible for managing and overseeing all freight-related activities within the warehouse. This role ensures the proper handling and processing of warehouse inventory, while supervising warehouse staff and maintaining efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the loading and unloading of freight.
- Verifying the account of all freight shipped and received.
- Maintaining an account of inventory in the warehouse.
- Ensuring the proper labeling, tagging, and packaging of goods and materials.
- Organizing plans for loading and unloading of product.
- Assigning work and functions to all warehouse workers and staff.
- Supervising the proper and smooth functioning of all activities.
- Reacting productively to change and handling other essential tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to operate a forklift and manual/powered pallet jack.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Understanding of all safety procedures.
- Must have Class A CDL.
