About the position
The Warehouse Lead position in Huntington Beach is a full-time role focused on overseeing distribution center operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse processes, ensuring safety standards are met, workflows are optimized, and team performance is enhanced in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff to ensure effective team management and productivity.
- Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Implement and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations to promote a safe working environment.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory levels.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Maintain clear communication with management regarding operational issues and team performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and best practices.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems, including BOL's.
- Experience with inventory control processes.
- Understanding of shipping and receiving procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to motivate a team.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations is preferred.
