About the position
The Warehouse Lead position is a critical role within our operations, responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of stock trailers, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and manufacturing standards. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Warehouse Lead will be expected to work a night shift from Sunday to Wednesday, starting at 5:00 PM and ending at 3:30 AM, with opportunities for additional pay through shift differentials. The role also includes responsibilities such as maintaining proper temperature control during loading and unloading processes, adhering to good manufacturing practices, and meeting productivity requirements. The Warehouse Lead will also be responsible for staging completed pallets in designated areas and may be assigned other projects as needed. In addition to the core responsibilities, the Warehouse Lead will play a vital role in training and mentoring new team members, ensuring that all staff adhere to safety protocols and operational procedures. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and management. The Warehouse Lead will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, which is essential for operational efficiency and safety. Responsibilities
- Manually lift and move product to restock and repack ensuring date code accuracy and proper rotation
- Accurately selecting and staging trailers for loading and transport while ensuring proper temperature control
- Understanding and operation of refrigeration equipment
- Adhere to good manufacturing practices and safety standards
- Responsible for meeting productivity requirements
- Stage completed pallets in designated area
- Other projects or duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Must have a valid driver's license
- 6 months of related experience in a distribution warehouse environment or similar roles
- Willing and able to work any day or shift as we are a 24/7 operation
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack or lift product
- Must pass a post-offer background and drug test
Nice-to-haves
- High School diploma or GED
- Certified Forklift License
- 1 year of Class A commercial driving experience
