About the position
The Warehouse Loader position at US FOODS® is a critical role that involves loading outbound orders into designated tractor trailers in accordance with company procedures and standards. This ensures that drivers have their products safely stowed and organized for maximum efficiency during deliveries. The role requires a commitment to integrity and reliability, as Warehouse Loaders are essential representatives of the organization. The position is full-time, with a schedule from Sunday through Thursday, starting at 6:30 PM until all work is completed. The hourly wage for this position is $24.10, and employees are paid weekly. The role requires working in multi-temperature areas, including cooler and freezer environments where temperatures can drop to -5 degrees. Responsibilities
- Load outbound orders into designated tractor trailers according to company procedures and standards.
- Perform pre-shift duties including safety checks of all equipment.
- Ensure trailers are clean and at the proper temperature before loading.
- Build pallets according to stops and securely wrap them to avoid damage during transport.
- Verify header labels on all pallets and check for damaged or outdated products before loading.
- Complete and submit load diagrams as required.
- Work in multi-temperature areas as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- Electric Pallet Jack certified is required.
- One year of recent experience in a highly physical, labor-intensive occupation preferred.
- Ability to read alpha and numeric codes from load sheets.
- Strength and endurance to work in extreme temperature conditions.
