About the position
Rooms To Go is seeking a Furniture Loader Apprentice to join our team. As one of the largest and fastest growing furniture retailers in the US, we offer a financially stable environment with opportunities for career expansion. The position involves learning to prepare furniture for loading and delivery, ensuring products are properly padded, protected, and wrapped, as well as scanning, loading, and securing products in trucks. This role is essential to our operations and provides a pathway to growth within the company.
Responsibilities
- Learn to prepare furniture for loading and delivery on trucks
- Learn to properly pad, protect and wrap products as needed
- Learn to properly scan, load and secure product in trucks in proper sequence
- Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Must be able to read labels and manifest
- Able to submit to a Drug Test and Background Investigation
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs., bend, stand, walk for prolonged period of time
- Able to follow directions and work safely
- Capacity to learn and work in a team-oriented, fast paced environment
- Able to work in a non-air-conditioned environment
Benefits
- Starting pay is $16.00 / hour or more based on experience
