About the position
KeHE, a natural, organic, specialty and fresh food distributor, is seeking a Warehouse Loading Supervisor. This position is responsible for the efficient receiving and stocking of inbound freight and coordinating the selection and loading of products in a cost-effective manner. The Warehouse Loading Supervisor will ensure adherence to quality and safety standards while managing associate staffing. The role requires proactive communication regarding warehouse processes that impact customers and transportation, as well as the establishment and implementation of operational policies and procedures. The supervisor will also maintain high standards related to the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment, ensure compliance with state and federal laws, and administer company-sponsored safety programs. This position operates on a Sunday to Thursday schedule from 4:00 PM to Midnight.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently receive and stock inbound freight.
- Coordinate the selection and loading of products.
- Ensure quality and safety standards are adhered to.
- Manage associate staffing.
- Establish and implement operational policies and procedures.
- Maintain high standards related to the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment.
- Implement new processes to increase efficiencies while reducing costs.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws (i.e. OSHA).
- Ensure timely training of warehouse associates.
- Troubleshoot systems issues affecting delivery and receiving of products.
- Plan daily and weekly production activities when necessary.
- Ensure all food safety compliance.
- Administer company-sponsored safety programs according to best practices.
- Proactively improve labor relations.
- Maintain good attendance and safeguard confidential company information.
- Maintain safe work practices.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years previous warehouse/logistics management experience required.
- Proficiency with MS Office and RF (Radio Frequency) systems required.
