About the position

The Loading Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the loading operations within the warehouse, ensuring that outgoing shipments are handled efficiently and in accordance with established procedures. This role involves coordinating activities, monitoring productivity, and providing training to associates, all while maintaining a focus on quality and safety in shipping operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises the activities associated with loading of outgoing trailer shipments.
• Organizes daily activities in preparation for associates' arrival before the shift starts.
• Monitors productivity and quality for loading associates and provides feedback.
• Ensures necessary supplies for loading trucks are present and addresses shortages.
• Determines loading priority based on schedules and logs loading information.
• Repairs or replaces damaged items scheduled for shipment according to procedures.
• Responsible for pre-check of staged merchandise and line inspection.
• Researches and responds to customer issues related to shipments and takes corrective action.
• Trains and retrains associates in material handling and cross-trains employees for seasonal needs.
• Provides feedback to temporary agencies regarding performance of their placements.
• Holds weekly team meetings to discuss quality, safety, and productivity.
• Performs daily department walkthroughs to identify and correct issues.
• Enforces operation procedures and policies related to loading activities.
• Addresses routine employee questions and resolves problems in a timely manner.
• Scans product being loaded into trucks when necessary.
• Complies with all company safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of warehousing and supervisory experience required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP applications.
