About the position

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Manager. This position is located at our site in El Paso, TX. The Warehouse and Logistics Manager is responsible for creating a setting in which employees become involved, responsible, and self-motivated. This role will be responsible for providing training, continuous improvement, and quality products and services. The manager administers organization policies and supports plant objectives, driving the processes in the department through the Eaton Business systems. The position assists the plant leadership team in developing processes to achieve a zero-incident culture, maximize output, maintain inventory, and reduce overall costs, thereby exceeding customer expectations. The manager ensures that organizational decision-making is based on a process-oriented culture to ensure the linkage from strategy to actions. In this role, the Warehouse & Logistics Manager will design warehouses, including layouts, flow design, racking, and calculations to determine requirements for labor, capacity, pallet positions, racking, material handling systems, equipment, and dock processing areas. The manager will develop and maintain an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals. They will ensure accurate transactions and usage of ERP systems, manage the warehouse department budget, and lead logistics cost-out opportunities. Providing quality customer service to production stakeholders and ensuring a material flow that aligns with production needs is also a key responsibility. The manager will lead and develop warehouse supervisors, establish goals, objectives, and deadlines, and maintain the relationship between carriers and site operations. They will follow and maintain the 5's + culture, establish clear expectations and goals for employees, and maintain accountability for results, including required training. Additionally, the manager will develop and implement standardized shipping processes to ensure on-time shipments as per customer specifications. Participation and leadership in daily tier meetings with a cross-functional team focused on departmental performance and issue resolution, as well as leading weekly departmental meetings to communicate safety topics, department or plant-wide activities, business updates, and policy/procedural changes, are also essential duties. Finally, the manager will ensure compliance with all safety and security policies within the warehouse and review supply chain issues, working with other functional areas toward resolution and process improvement.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years of experience in Supply Chain.
  • Two (2) years of experience managing warehouse direct reports.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain related field.
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Three (3)+ years of experience managing a team.
  • Five (5)+ years of Supply Chain Experience.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
