About the position
The Distribution Center Maintenance Custodian at CITY Furniture is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the warehouse, restrooms, and lounges within the Distribution Center. This role is essential for ensuring a safe and sanitary environment, contributing to the overall success of the Operations Department.
Responsibilities
- Sweep floors and dispose of trash in the warehouse.
- Empty trash receptacles throughout the center.
- Wipe down yellow rails and racking in the Distribution Center.
- Pick up and sweep debris between racks and guiderails.
- Remove cobwebs from racks and aisles.
- Dust and wipe KPI boards and bay doors.
- Scrape old stickers and tape off the floor.
- Clean restrooms by picking up debris, sanitizing surfaces, and refilling supplies.
- Mop restroom floors and empty garbage cans.
- Clean the associate lounge by picking up debris and organizing materials.
Requirements
- No high school diploma required.
- Janitorial experience in a sanitation position.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- Valid Florida Driver's License.
