WAREHOUSE MAINTENANCE I

About the position

The Warehouse Maintenance I position at McLane Company, Inc. is an entry-level role focused on training and development. The primary responsibility is to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on material handling equipment and facility support systems within a distribution center environment. Responsibilities

• Ensure that spare parts usage, inventory, and work order actions are accurately tracked and documented according to company policy.
• Assist with distribution center maintenance requirements including refrigeration systems, plumbing, building lighting, welding, dock doors, air systems, racking, tote washer, and air spray painting.
• Maximize availability of all classes of batteries by managing charging cycles and battery rotation.
• Perform inspections and cleaning; conduct specific gravity checks; evaluate cable serviceability and repair damage.
• Develop a working knowledge of the required aspects of the McLane Maintenance Connection database.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in industrial maintenance.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience with material handling equipment.
• Able to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Experience with distribution center industrial equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, tuggers, and carts.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Basic computer skills with experience in a maintenance database such as MP2, DataStream 7i, or Maintenance Connection.
