This position is an entry-level training and development role at McLane Company, specifically designed for individuals looking to start their career in warehouse maintenance. The Maintenance I teammate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on material handling equipment and other facility support systems within the distribution center environment. The Maintenance I teammate will assist with various maintenance requirements in the distribution center, which may include refrigeration systems, plumbing, building lighting, welding, dock doors, air systems, racking, tote washers, and air spray painting. Additionally, the teammate will be tasked with maximizing the availability of all classes of batteries by managing charging cycles and battery rotation, performing inspections and cleaning, conducting specific gravity checks, evaluating cable serviceability, and repairing any damage. To succeed in this position, the teammate will need to develop a working knowledge of the McLane Maintenance Connection database, which is essential for tracking maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with company standards. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational efficiency of the distribution center and ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally to support the company's logistics operations.
