Warehouse Maintenance Manager

About the position

The Warehouse Maintenance Manager at Essendant is responsible for overseeing a team of maintenance mechanics, technicians, and janitorial associates. This role focuses on achieving quality and productivity objectives while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The manager will also play a key role in P&L development and will be accountable for security and loss prevention within the facility. The position emphasizes the importance of core values such as integrity, collaboration, and customer-centricity, while fostering a safe and rewarding work environment.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for a staff of maintenance mechanics, technicians, and janitorial associates.
• Direct input to P&L development and attainment.
• Achieve quality and productivity objectives while following vendor and customer specific standard operating procedures.
• Manage training and compliance activities, including the facilities safety program.
• Accountable for security/loss prevention, including associate welfare and physical building and client asset protection.
• Demonstrate United Stationers' Core Values in daily operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum five years of job-related experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning, change management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to solve problems and achieve results with a strong customer service orientation.
• High degree of initiative and dedication to effective positive change.
• Intermediate computer skills.
