About the position

The Warehouse Maintenance Technician at Muller, Inc. is responsible for overseeing and performing maintenance tasks within the warehouse facility. This role requires a blend of technical skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, HVAC, and general maintenance, along with the ability to manage a small team and coordinate with contractors. The technician will also be on-call to address maintenance issues as they arise, ensuring the facility operates smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and oversee the work performed by various contractors, ensuring they use safe practices and clean up their work area.
  • Escort contractors in critical areas when required.
  • Manage work requests and maintain an inventory of tools and supplies required.
  • Provide reports to the Manager, noting any problems found and resolutions.
  • Perform daily warehouse inspections of the facility and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform essential electrical maintenance and simple repair/replacement of various electrical circuits and related electronic equipment.
  • Read and understand basic electrical and electronic schematics.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, limit switches, etc.
  • Reset, repair, or replace adjustable components (belts, chains, cables) and wearing components (guides, bearings, wheels, rollers).
  • Clean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment; replace filters (water filters, air filters).
  • Repair/replace warehouse racking.
  • Perform basic plumbing repair/replace flushometers, Sloan valves, wax rings, etc.
  • Complete minor and routine maintenance such as changing light bulbs and repairing and replacing office furniture.
  • Follow appropriate safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in warehouse maintenance.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience managing a small team.
  • Valid driver's license to operate company-owned vehicles.
  • Good communication skills for interaction with staff and contractors.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in facilities maintenance management (preferred).
