About the position

The Warehouse Manager will oversee the operations of the warehouse, ensuring optimal utilization of facilities, managing safety programs, and leading a team to improve operational efficiency. This role involves budget management, human resources activities, and fostering a positive work environment while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensures optimal utilization of the organization's facilities by assessing physical space requirements and recommending plans.
• Manages the development, implementation, and continual improvement of operating methods, equipment, systems, and infrastructure.
• Oversees the organization's environmental and safety program, ensuring adherence to health and safety laws and regulations.
• Manages production procedures to launch new products and optimize existing processes, including packaging and labeling.
• Leads kaizen and quality circle initiatives for the materials operations group.
• Creates and manages operating and capital budgets, participating in business planning and budgeting processes.
• Performs HR activities including tracking time and attendance, counseling, scheduling, and evaluating performance.
• Fosters high morale and teamwork through daily interaction and support of subordinates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience with supply chain and logistics theories and practices.
• Effective communication and diplomacy skills to guide and lead others.
• Strong leadership with a demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects.
• Ability to translate strategy into actionable information and monitor strategy achievement.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of distribution or warehouse management software systems.
