About the position

The Warehouse Manager oversees all operations within the warehouse, managing a team of personnel and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for the warehouse's profitability, human resources activities, and payroll management, while also maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees, including office administrator, general laborers, and forklift drivers.
  • Communicates goals, manages staff schedules, and coordinates workloads to achieve facility goals.
  • Maintains quality and safety standards throughout the site.
  • Trains and develops associates, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Manages customer relationships for the site.
  • Participates in hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and assigning work to new associates.
  • Sets shift/operating schedule in conjunction with the Regional Operations Manager to best service local customers.
  • Manages employee relations issues in conjunction with the Corporate HR team.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies regarding HSE and HR in accordance with laws.
  • Analyzes site data to drive continuous improvements in operational excellence.
  • Drafts reports, business correspondence, and procedural instruction manuals.
  • Effectively presents information and responds to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Monitors employee performance and workload to ensure expectations are met.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management System) preferred.
  • 5+ years applicable experience in retail management, distribution, supply chain, or manufacturing environments.
  • 3+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Retail/service industry experience is ideal.
  • Desire and ability to provide excellent customer service to all levels of the organization.
  • General knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing HR practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Comfortable with technology.
  • Experience in small, start-up organizations helpful.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
