About the position

The Warehouse Manager at Saputo Inc. is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the operations of a new 300,000 sq ft facility set to open in Spring 2025. This position involves managing the warehouse and shipping department, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and coordinating activities across various departments. The Warehouse Manager will lead a team, manage expenses, and ensure the efficient and accurate handling of products, all while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of the shipping department in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate load out schedules with in-house distribution and outside contractors for timely product handling.
  • Manage expenses related to cooler dumps, labor, and overhead costs using Continuous Improvement techniques.
  • Monitor inventory and product codes daily to ensure proper rotation and traceability.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of all transactions related to shipments, donations, and product loss.
  • Maintain compliance with quality assurance standards and cleanliness of work areas.
  • Achieve Sales to Service Metrics and drive productivity within the department.
  • Support internal and external audits and cooperate cross-functionally as a change agent.
  • Provide leadership and management to employees, including training and performance management.
  • Participate in collective bargaining activities if applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in Distribution or Supply Chain.
  • Experience with Health and Safety, and Workers Compensation compliance.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational needs and lead others through change.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management systems (WMS), preferably SAP.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
