About the position

The Warehouse Manager / Purchasing Admin position at Afinitas involves overseeing the shipping and inventory management processes within the warehouse. The role is crucial for ensuring that products are prepared and shipped accurately and efficiently, while also maintaining stock levels and collaborating with various departments to meet production and shipping goals.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and verify correct items with appropriate documentation to ship according to sales orders or as directed.
  • Utilize UPS World Ship software and ERP system for shipping processes.
  • Find and develop new carriers as needed and schedule trucks for shipments.
  • Keep track of shipments on the shipping ledger for financial reporting.
  • Identify and document each manufactured item upon completion for shipment.
  • Prepare finished products for shipment, including shrink wrapping and building skids.
  • Operate mobile equipment to assist with moving finished products to designated locations for shipment.
  • Load and unload received goods, checking in packages against packing lists using the ERP system.
  • Collaborate with the QC department when necessary.
  • Work with purchasing to maintain stock levels of tracked and non-tracked inventory.
  • Manage the cycle counting process and research discrepancies.
  • Organize and maintain a clean and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Prepare needed inventory according to ERP system for production order needs.
  • Collaborate with other departments in MCR meetings to meet shipping target dates and requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience in warehouse management and logistics.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and shipping software like UPS World Ship.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Experience in inventory management and cycle counting.
