Warehouse Manager - SoCal

About the position

The Warehouse Manager will oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring cleanliness, security, and efficient functionality. This role involves leading warehouse operations in the designated region, managing volunteer activities, and ensuring all activities align with organizational standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space.
• Coordinate volunteer activities, including recruitment, training, and managing the volunteer database.
• Plan and execute in-kind donation drives to meet project goals.
• Ensure the warehouse is active and efficient to achieve yearly in-kind targets.
• Oversee inventory and ordering of supplies and materials for warehouse operations.
• Handle booking requests for consignments promptly and accurately.
• Build relationships with in-kind donors and community organizations.
• Ensure compliance with auditor requirements and international standards for in-kind gifts.
• Implement and enforce safety standards and procedures in the warehouse.

Requirements

• Must be present to work onsite in the warehouse.
• Must have an Associate's degree (or equivalent).
• At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Must be efficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal English.

Nice-to-haves

• Degree or certification in logistics and supply chain management.
• Two or more years of experience in a warehouse management role.
• Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
• Ability to communicate in more than one language (Urdu and Arabic most preferred).
