Under some supervision, you will follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions, and dispatch goods in a factory or warehouse setting. This includes receiving incoming goods, checking for damage, and ensuring discrepancies between goods and invoices are addressed. You will accurately sort, label, and store goods while optimizing warehouse space. Picking, packing, and dispatching outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders will also be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will be certified to operate forklifts or other warehouse machinery, ensuring safety and efficiency in all operations.

Responsibilities

  • Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.

  • Identify and control non-conforming material.
  • Receive incoming goods, accurately sort, label/package, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.
  • Operate manual and automated equipment to pick, pack and ship product per the customer expectations.
  • Demonstrate a high level of competency in core work skills.
  • Work at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard.
  • Communicate effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams.
  • Complete training in line with business requirements.
  • Participate actively in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and perform planned operator care and maintenance tasks.
  • Remain flexible and perform other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet business goals.
  • Work with peers, skilled trades and support staff to maintain and identify equipment in need of repair.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior PIV experience of 2-5 years with forklifts, tuggers and/or electric pallet jacks.
  • Microsoft Office knowledge and use of scan guns to move parts from various locations internally.
